Tribehenin
Essentially not a wax ester but a triglyceride, tribehenin is known as the most refined of all high melting point waxes.
As the name suggests, tribehenin is a glycerol assembly (a ‘glyceride’) of three times behenic acid, which is a very long saturated fatty acid that comes from the seeds of the Moringa oleifera (Ben oil tree).
Tribehenin forms a delicate occlusive and skin softening layer after topical application. Boasting high stability, it can tremendously improve and preserve the physical consistency of any skincare product.
Floral wax
There are five delicate floral waxes that are used in Dr Josbert's products. They all come from flower petals that are processed in the perfume industry for the extraction of fragrances.
While in fragrance production they are essentially waste products, in skincare they have recently been rediscovered as extremely valuable ingredients. They are highly prized for their ability to protect human skin against desiccation and exposure.
Floral waxes form excellent vegan alternatives to beeswax with almost the same melting temperature.
Beeswax

Ucuuba butter

What makes ucuuba butter special is its relatively high melting point, imparted by a very high content of triglycerides that mostly feature saturated fatty acids, in particular myristic acid (C14:0).
