What countries do you ship to?

We currently ship to all EU member states plus Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Can I return my order?

You can return your order within 30 days if unused and unopened. Please send an email to info@drjosbert.com with your intention to return your order preferably including the reason why. We will then send to you a return instruction as to how to ship your package back to us.

What happens if my package does not arrive?

In case your package gets lost or you received it damaged please reach out to info@drjosbert.com so we will help you as soon as possible.

I ordered something different than the items I received, what should I do?

Send an email message as soon as possible to info@drjosbert.com and we will take corrective action.

How can I track my order?

With your order you will receive a DHL track and trace number.

How long will it take to receive my order?

This varies depending on your country of residence, between 1-2 days (The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany) to a few days or more if you live farther away from our location of dispatch in The Netherlands.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept IDeal, PayPal and credit card payments.

Do I have to pay import taxes?

Within our region of shipment there are no import duties applicable if orders remain below 150 euros.

What is VAT and is it included in the price?

VAT or Value Added Tax, are the taxes paid on top of the value from sales of products or services. Both customers inside and outside the EU pay VAT on their purchases. If you purchase from within the EU the VAT is included in the price of our products. If you purchase from outside of the EU, it will be paid in the form of import duties (above 150 Euros).

Can I receive a refund?

If you return your order unused and unopened you can receive a full refund. This refund does not include shipment costs

Daily use of the product

Can I use the products if I have sensitive skin?

If you know you have a hypersensitive skin, it is best to start with one of the floral botanical balms first. There is a specific balm developed for hypersensitive skin; Osmanthus – Hypertensive Skin If you unexpectedly experience a hypersensitivity reaction to one of the products, get in touch and we will advise you what to do (info@drjosbert.com).

The product does not seem to work for me. What should I do?

Allow the products some time to reach their maximum efficacy and please do not forget to apply the Rescue & Repair Balms twice a day. Therapeutic success in a certain skin condition can never be guaranteed, not even with the most efficacious medicinal product. The general advice with persistent skin conditions is to visit a dermatologist

It will be my first time, what product do you recommend starting with?

A good product to start with is the Green Tea Regenerate hand balm and the Japanese Rejuvenate night balm. Also, the floral botanical balms are great product to experience the benefit and feel of waterless skincare.

Can I use combinations of products?

Yes, that is generally possible.

How often should I use the product?

The Floral Botanicals can be used all through the day with no frequency restriction. We advise to use the balms in the Formulations line up to two times a day.

How long should I use the product?

The Floral Botanicals and the Routine balms in the Formulations can be used without a duration restriction. I advise to use the Rescue & Repair balms until visual relief (usually after 2 weeks of daily treatment).

How should I store the product?

The Floral Botanicals do not come with a specific storage condition requirement, but I advise you to always keep in a cooler location around the house.

For the Formulations (Routine and Rescue & Repair Balms) I recommend storage in the refrigerator for as long as you don’t use them (their shelf life is indicated on the bottom of the jar). Important: after opening the Routine Balms (daily use) can be used for 3 months while storing it at ambient temperature. The Rescue & Repair balms can be left in use for a longer period and until the expiration date on the bottom of the jar.

How long will it take me to finish a product?

The Floral Botanical balms are used in different frequencies and intensities by every individual user, so it is hard to tell how long it will last. The advice is to use it sparingly; no water also means that a little bit goes a long way.

In general, it will take 2 to 3 months to finish a Routine Balms when applied every day. The Rescue & Repair Balms will last longer and can be kept longer, as they will only be applied when needed and until relief.

Can I get samples?

Due to the small batches and the labor-intensiveness that the manufacturing process entails I currently cannot implement the production of small sample units.

How can I find out which products are right for me?

We have developed a Skin Check tool which you can find on the website. This tool helps you choose what product could fit best to your type of skin and work for your current skin need.

Can I use expired product?

You can use product until the expiration date shown on the bottom of the jar. If you discover you have been using expired product, there is no reason for concern, but it is advisable to re-order the product and receive a jar from a freshly prepared batch.

Can the product cause staining?

The Rescue & Repair balms can lead to yellow stains in clothes and bedding if used extensively and without precautions. Part of the natural bioactive ingredients in these balms are flavonoids, which have a distinct yellow color (flavus means yellow in latin). Make sure to use these products sparingly and allow full absorption before contact with white textiles and bed covers.

The products feel a bit tacky after application, is that normal?

Since the products are waterless, they require smaller quantities on your skin to be effective (water is merely a bulking agent in conventional skincare products and quickly evaporates after application). You should allow your skin time to absorb, which can take up to 5-10 minutes with most balms. The Rescue & Repair balms take a bit longer to be fully absorbed and become effective.

Can I use the product in combination with make-up?

I do not advise to use the products too close to the eyes, so it should not interfere with eye make-up. For other make-up products it is rather a matter of trying and finding out.

Can I use the product while pregnant?

I don’t advise to use the Formulations balms during pregnancy. However, The Floral Botanicals are fit for use anytime anywhere.

Sustainability and environmental awareness

Is the packaging made of sustainable materials?

The packaging is made of glass (Formulations line) and iron (Floral Botanicals). At this moment the wooden lids of the Formulations jars contain an internal plastic lining. Soon, these will be fully replaced with 100% wooden lids. All glass and iron can be recycled.

Where are the products manufactured?

Everything is manufactured in small and well-controlled batches under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) in our clean-room production facility in Almere, close to Amsterdam.

Are the products all-natural?

Yes, they are 100% made of naturally derived starting materials, both the bioactive ingredients and the helper ingredients.

Are the products cruelty-free?

Neither my products nor their ingredients have been tested on animals

Are the products suitable for vegans?

The balms in the Floral Botanicals line are suitable for vegans. Most of the products in the Formulations line contain a minor quantity of beeswax.
